FIREFLY ® Technology

For every FIREFLY® surgery scheduled, surgeons are provided with a patient-specific, anatomical model. These autoclavable models contain the FIREFLY® planned screw trajectories and can be used for patient education, preoperative evaluation, and intraoperative reference.

Bone Model

Features and Benefits

SINGLE MONOLITHIC BONE MODEL

Mighty Oak’s spine model provides a complete and exact representation of the patient’s anatomy. These bone models provide visualization of every instrumented level and prepared implant trajectories for better preoperative education and preparation and the most accurate reference for intraoperative use.

BIOCOMPATIBLE AND AUTOCLAVABLE

Mighty Oak’s patient-specific bone models are biocompatible and autoclavable, which enables surgeons to use them preoperatively for surgical planning and patient education while still allowing them to be autoclaved for intraoperative reference in the OR.

MATERIAL COMPARISON -
Grey PA12 (Nylon) vs. White (Nylon or ABS)

Most 3D printed models are manufactured in a white ABS or nylon material which can make visualization of detailed anatomy difficult while under the highly reflective lights in the OR. Mighty Oak’s FIREFLY® Bone Models are made of a grey nylon (PA12) for ease of legibility and identification of critical anatomical landmarks.
